Green Teach Program

Green Teach program is an age appropriate educational program created to teach children to adults the hazards of toxic chemicals, safer cleaning methods and products, and how to protect themselves and the environment we all share. Green Teach is a fun and exciting hands on way to learn about the world around us and our place in it.

Depending on age, Green Teach will include the following:

• What chemical cleaners generally look like (how to recognize poisons)
• What we can use instead of chemical cleaners
• What are some of the consequences of using chemical cleaners to the human body and our planet
• How you can help at home and at school
• Mixing essential oils to create natural antiseptic properties
• Making their own safe cleaning product to take home
• The history of chemical cleaners
• The processing of chemical cleaners (hazards of, and environmental concerns)
• Books that they can refer to for natural cleaners and social conscious issues

Activities will include:

• Hands on experiments mixing baking soda with vinegar (volcano effect)
• Mixing essential oils to create natural antiseptic properties
• Making their own safe cleaner to take home
• Reading books on fun safe tips
