"The Safe Way To Clean"

An explanation of how chemical usage became so out of control in this country, how chemicals effect our well being and our planet, and what we can do to avoid the misuse of chemicals. This 60 minute discussion will include simple solutions for change that really work and advice on how to safely dispose of the chemicals you are currently using. Hand outs and website sources will be distributed.

"Common Toxins in Your Home"

A detailed list of typical toxins found in the home (such as in fabrics, carpet, bedding, and more), and in traditional cleaning products. We will review the sources of the toxins, and discuss how to make better choices and improve the indoor air quality in your home as well as improve the health of your family and pets. Hand outs and website sources will be distributed.

"Growing Green Kids"

Simple solutions to getting your children connected to nature, teaching them basic information to make them stewards of the earth, day to day living choices that make a big difference, and fun projects that even parents will learn from and enjoy. Web link sources will be given for further education.

"Make Your Own Safer Cleaning Products"

A discussion of the most toxic household cleaners and laundry products commonly used in most homes. This presentation includes a demonstration of how to make your own solutions to these toxic problems. Recipes will be shared, demonstrated, and handed out.

"The Every Day Environmentalist"

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the "green" movement and your head is spinning with all the things you should be doing to protect your health and the environment this is the course for you. We will discuss Eco friendly choices you can make to reduce fuel emissions, save energy, reduce waste, lower your costs, and protect the planet. Handouts with a selection of company sources and their websites will be supplied to aid you in making environmentally sound choices.
